Chancellor Mnookin visits key partners around the state

In her first few months on campus, new UW–Madison chancellor Jennifer L. Mnookin has crisscrossed the state on a listening and learning tour. A number of her stops included visits to several of UW–Madison’s long-time corporate partners.

Along with a team of UW–Madison staff including OBE Managing Director John Garnetti, Chancellor Mnookin visited the Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Co. in Chippewa Falls. President Dick Leinenkugel, whose family started the Leinenkugel’s brewery five generations ago, led a tour that included a discussion of the brewing process, the importance of conserving Wisconsin’s freshwater resources and the need for greater diversity in brewing. In Green Bay, Chancellor Mnookin toured the new Green Bay offices of U.S. Venture, an Appleton-based leader in the energy and transportation industry. And she visited highly successful apparel company Lands’ End in Dodgeville.

Thanks to Chancellor Mnookin for her incredible energy and leadership as she gets to know Wisconsin, UW–Madison, and our terrific partner businesses!
