By tapping into University of Wisconsin–Madison expertise in quick response manufacturing, Aldevron, a biotechnology company, is bringing their products to market more quickly and improving their profits.
In a creative twist, the Madworks Accelerator challenged startups to compete in a "pitch night" where the case had to center around making the largest economic impact on the state of Wisconsin. Two of the top three prizes are linked to UW.
The Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF), a foundation dedicated to promoting, encouraging, and aiding scientific investigation and research at UW-Madison was ranked 7th among universities for U.S. patents. These rankings show the great success of a research university and intellectual foundation collaborating together.
