QTS invests $1.5 million in UW–Madison-led research on sustainable digital infrastructure

On Friday, November 14, the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies announced a research partnership with QTS Data Centers (QTS). The Virginia-based developer invested $1.5 million toward a new Advancing Data Center Sustainability initiative, which will leverage the university’s deep expertise to advance sustainable digital infrastructure through research and innovation.

UW–Madison connects with Japanese leaders on biohealth, engineering, and emerging technologies

UW–Madison continued to strengthen its relationships with Japanese industry partners through two recent engagements focused on engineering, technology, and the rapidly growing biohealth field. Earlier this month, a delegation of 23 leaders representing 19 Japanese companies visited Madison and Milwaukee to learn more about Wisconsin’s biohealth ecosystem. In October, UW–Madison hosted the UW–Japan Engineering and Technology Forum.

Raven Software gift of computers to enhance research, learning at UW–Madison

This year, Raven Software — co-founded by UW–Madison alumnus Brian Raffel — donated 200 computers valued at $1.26 million to UW–Madison to enhance research and learning opportunities for students across multiple disciplines critical to the video game industry.
