The University of Wisconsin–Madison now ranks fifth in the United States for university research expenditures, its highest ranking since 2014, according to the National Science Foundation’s Higher Education Research and Development Survey. The annual ranking covers the amount of funding the university invested in research activities during fiscal year 2024 (July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024).
On Friday, November 14, the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies announced a research partnership with QTS Data Centers (QTS). UW–Madison continued to strengthen its relationships with Japanese industry partners through two recent engagements focused on engineering, technology, and the rapidly growing biohealth field. Earlier this month, a delegation of 23 leaders representing 19 Japanese companies visited Madison and Milwaukee to learn more about Wisconsin’s biohealth ecosystem.
