The Sustainability Research Hub and Office of Business Engagement are co-hosting an interactive session designed to help faculty, staff, and the broader UW-Madison community confidently engage with industry and foundation partners.
Through partner perspectives and practical guidance, this event will help demystify how collaborations are built, how to communicate your work effectively, and how to navigate partnerships in ways that are both strategic and aligned.
The session will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2026 from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm, with optional networking 3:00 pm – 3:30 pm in Union South.
In the 90-minute session we will cover:
- How industry and foundation partners approach university collaborations and what they value
- Strategies for building relationships and identifying the right entry points
- How to frame and communicate your work in a way that resonates with partners
- Practical next steps and campus resources to move your ideas forward
